Manager Accounting and Financial Reporting

Pathway Search is working with a PE backed healthcare company in the Nashville area who has grown 3x in the last 2 years. They are looking to add an Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager to their team. This person will support and monitor the organization’s financial health by overseeing the daily management of Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, maintains, reviews/updates, and provides general oversight of the organization’s financial internal control structure and departmental policies/procedures
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements as well as requirements of investment partners
  • Oversees cash management practices to ensure adequate cash reserves for operations
  • Manage relationships with commercial banking partner, outside audit firms, purchase card vendor, and business insurance agents as needed
  • Reviews and authorizes disbursements and expenditures
  • Prepares and/or analyzes financial and statistical reports and budgets for assigned organizational entities
  • Oversees all budget reporting, comparing actual results to budget standards
  • Reviewing financial results to analyze operational drivers to provide insight and collaborate with the operations team
  • Reviews and coordinates with department heads regarding all material budget variances
  • Serves as primary contact for audit activities including review of auditor communications, coordination of timing and presentation of audit, arrangements for field work, and arranging for dissemination to appropriate parties
  • Coordinates with Human Resources to effectively manage payroll and tax compliance
  • Engages in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, training and evaluation of staff

Education and Experience:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field required
  • At least 5 years of previous accounting experience required; public accounting experience and healthcare industry knowledge preferred  
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Sage Intacct experience preferred
